The Calvert County Liquor Board consists of three members appointed by the Governor of Maryland, biennially, with the consent of the Senate if they are in session. Members must be residents and voters of Calvert County and shall be persons of high character and integrity and of recognized business capacity. One regular member of the Board shall always be a member of the political party which at the last preceding gubernatorial election polled the second highest number of votes throughout the State for that office. The Governor shall also appoint an alternate Board member. Members serve two year terms.
