Solomons Victorian Inn

Victorian Inn Solomons

Robert and Judith English, owners and innkeepers of the Solomons Victorian Inn bed & breakfast, are active members of Calvert County’s tourism community. "We love helping people relax and unwind during their stay on Solomons Island. Our guests appreciate how we start their day with a delicious, memorable and healthy breakfast," they say.

The main house of this premier Chesapeake Bay Inn was built in 1906 in Queen Anne Victorian style and was the family home of Clarence Davis. M.M. Davis & Son were renowned builders of early 20th century sailing yachts and many of these were trophy-winning racing vessels, the most notable being Manitou, owned and restored for a time by President John F. Kennedy. The bedrooms Orithia, Manitou and Narada are named for three of the fine yachts built by Mr. Davis; the suites are named for the spectacular sunsets that can be seen from their windows.
