Maryland Telework and Online Sales Grant Fund Open

The Maryland Telework and Online Sales Grant Fund provides financial relief to locally owned and operated businesses and/or nonprofits that incurred expenses in order to establish or expand online sales, and/or telework during the COVID-19 public health emergency. These expenses may include Internet fees, website upgrades, the purchase of devices that allow for telework capabilities, and more. The grant is for expenses incurred to establish or expand online sales and/or telework during COVID-19 (after March 2020) and must not have been previously reimbursed in other federal, state, or county grant programs. Copies of detailed paid invoices for reimbursement of eligible expenses will be required. Grants will be awarded for a one-time reimbursement of up to $5,000. Repayment is not required for any funds received through the The Maryland Telework and Online Sales Grant Fund.

In order to be considered eligible for this grant, interested businesses and nonprofits must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a legally recognized business/nonprofit in good standing with the State of Maryland as determined by the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT)
  • Be current on all county tax liabilities (paid in full)
  • Have no outstanding/open zoning or permitting code enforcement issues with the county
  • Must have been established and operating prior to March 9, 2020
  • Be located and currently open and operating in Calvert County
The application portal will open on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021 at 9 a.m. to receive applications. You will need access to a computer, as the application is only available online and will only be accepted through online submission. The portal will remain open until all funds are distributed.
